Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 18th! Join us and bring your family as we gather with hundreds of community members, leaders, elected officials, comrades and supporters from throughout the U.S. and Canada for a day of fun and festivities!

Bring your appetite and your dancing shoes and enjoy a day of food, fun, and festivities including a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, live performances, drum calls, a DJ, and free outdoor activities, including planting projects, cookie decorating, and inflatable play zones for the kids!

While you're there, shop at the stunning Detroit People’s Food Co-op the Black-led, Community-owned grocery on the first floor of the building. The store’s produce and prepared foods departments are getting rave reviews!
Tour the second floor where the Detroit Black Community Food Sovereignty Network operates the Mama Imani Humphrey Banquet Hall which can rented for receptions, community lectures, meetings, film presentations, live performances, and other events. Also on the second floor, DBCFSN operates the Kujichgulia Kitchens, four shared-use commercial kitchens which are available for rent to chefs, caterers, bakers, food trucks, and other food entrepreneurs.
