Since 2008, DBCFSN has operated D-Town© Farm, the largest of Detroit's many gardens and farms. The farm occupies slightly more than seven acres inside the Meyers Tree Nursery in the City of Detroit's Rouge Park. D-Town© Farm is maintained by a small staff and volunteers who grow more than 30 different fruits, vegetables, and herbs each year using sustainable, regenerative methods.

Turn Waste into Wealth: Support Detroit’s Compost Revolution

"Did you know DBCFSN is 20 years old? For our 20th Anniversary campaign, consider donating $20, $200 or $2000 to help us expand and sustain our composting work. DBCFSN is co-leading the compost work in Detroit with other amazing partners like the Detroit Office of Sustainability (OoS), FoodPLUS Detroit and many amazing farms. We need to purchase an industrial pick up truck to haul compost from the Detroit Food Commons (DFC) to D-Town Farm. Can you support our efforts in transforming our food systems?"

"Did you know waste is a lie? We can use unused food as a natural resource in starting the cycle over again. Help us repair our disconnected relationship with waste and support our organic waste diversion. Help us cultivate the real circular food economy rooted in EVERYTHING having a purpose. No waste. No toxic greenhouse gases. No contamination or pollution.

Help us build unbroken circles of food, health, sustainability and justice."
